Ian Morrissey is now Founder and Consultant at Antimicrobial Focus Ltd., UK. after more than 30 years’ experience in antimicrobial agent development whilst working in academia and clinical research organisations.

Ian is actively involved with veterinary and human antimicrobial susceptibility testing methodology at the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) in the USA and is a European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) member on the joint CLSI/EUCAST working group, as well as a member of the Transatlantic Taskforce on Antimicrobial Resistance (TATFAR) working Group 2.5. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.

Ian has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts as well as 10 books or book chapters.

Ian was awarded his doctorate degree from the University of London, UK in 1990. In 2001, he received an Executive MBA from Imperial College London, UK.
