Rosemary Dorrington holds the DST/NRF SARChI Chair in Marine Natural Products Research at Rhodes University, Makhanda, South Africa.

Rosemary is the South African Principal Investigator of the SA/UK Antimicrobial Drug Discovery Hub funded by the South African Department of Health and the UK Newton Fund through the South African and UK Medical Research Councils. She leads a multidisciplinary team engaged in research across the broad field of marine biodiscovery, focusing on the potential of bioactive small molecules as molecular probes for drug development.
