According to the WHO, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the top 10 global health threats. There is an urgent need to develop new antibiotics. Join us as we highlight the value of the nonprofit R&D business model in accelerating the development and access to new and improved treatments for drug-resistant infections. This webinar raises the importance of nonprofit collaborative approaches, which are the basis of organizations like the Global Antibiotic Research and Development Partnership (GARDP). It also explores how leading non-profits have developed new treatments for TB and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). Since 2010, nonprofit developers have developed and introduced 66 new health technologies for priority public health needs, reaching more than 2.4 billion people worldwide.
