Having the capacity to kill bacteria.

Bactericidal capacity is dependent on the concentration and duration of exposure to the antibiotic. The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) is the minimum concentration required to achieve (bacteriostatic) activity. The minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) is the concentration required to achieve bactericidal activity.
